Over at The Awl there are some awfully frank accounts from young adult authors about the five-fingered discount.

I'm pretty intrigued about the block of cheese...




Full disclosure: cheddar cheese combos and Pepsi.  From the 7-11 in Harvard Sq.  More than once.  And then there was the time when my friends had a contest and the winner lifted an entire box of Butterfingers.  Happy days.


Not that I am encouraging shoplifting -- can we get that on the record, please?
