What one piece of advice would you give to aspiring writers?

Put your bum on that seat and write. There's no point boring everyone for years talking about this book you are going to write. Do it, you tart.

No time like the present to pick up a piece of paper and a sturdy pen and write, unless you have a vintage Olivetti typewriter(like moi) and then you can tap tap tap your way to your first novel.
